Enabling notifications for manually-graded assessments helps ensure that both learners and assessors are promptly informed when results or feedback are released. This feature streamlines communication by automatically sending alerts whenever grading updates occur, eliminating the need for manual follow-ups. It promotes transparency and keeps learners engaged by providing timely updates on their progress, while also supporting assessors in maintaining efficient workflows and consistent communication. Overall, it contributes to a smoother and more responsive assessment process that enhances the overall learning experience.

Step Tutorial
1. Open the course where the assessment is located and make sure Edit mode is enabled. Then open the assessment you want the notification to be sent from.

2. Click the More button, then select Permissions.


3. Under the Filter search bar, look for emailnotifyattemptgraded.


4. Under the Risks Roles with permission column, click the plus (+) button.


5. A prompt will appear — select Student.

NOTE: This is a one-time setup. Once you’ve applied this to a quiz, you don’t need to repeat the process for other quizzes, even if they are different ones.

6. Lodge a ticket with our support team at support@eskilled.com.au so we can configure the \mod_quiz\task\quiz_notify_attempt_manual_grading_completed task, which is responsible for sending the notification.
WarningIMPORTANT: Make sure to lodge a ticket with us so we can enable this feature, as it is disabled by default and won’t work unless activated.
