Assignment Activity - Grade Status and Submission Status v2
As an administrator or teacher, you have the ability to view all student submissions within an assignment activity.
In this tutorial, we will guide you step-by-step through the process of accessing and viewing these submissions within the course.
1. Navigate to the course that contains the assignment activity.
2. Click on the assignment activity to open it.
3. Click on the Submissions tab.
One of the pieces of information that appears on the submissions page is the Status.
This displays both the Submission Status and Grade Status/Workflow Status (if the submission has been graded by the trainer) for each enrolled user.
NOTE: Below are the different statuses for Submissions and Grading. If the marking workflow is being used, the grading status will be replaced with the Marking Workflow status. Submission Statuses

Students will also be able to see their own submission status and grading status by looking at the summary page of the assignment activity.
TIP: You can use the inline filters on the Submissions page to help narrow down the list.
Here are the available filters:
Filter by name - Select the first letter of the user's first or last name, then click Apply.
IMPORTANT: If this filter is in use, you will only be able to access the submissions of the user(s) displayed by the filter.
To view other submissions, you need to reset the filter to All.
Status - Allows you to filter submissions based on their current status.
Advanced - Gives you the option to include submissions from suspended participants.
