How to set course grading to "Competent" and "Not Yet Competent" grades v2

To update the course Gradebook Setup, follow the steps below:

Step 1: From the course page, click on Grades located on the submenu bar of the course administration, then choose Gradebook Setup from the drop-down menu of the Grader Report.



Step 2: Go to Course grade settings tab and update the Grade display type to Letter. Click the Save button below.

 



Step 3: To check the site default grades for letter, proceed to Grades > Grader Report > Grade Letters


Step 4: You can edit this by clicking the Edit button.


Step 5: You may set the grade letters to 'Competent' and 'Not Yet Competent' with the corresponding highest and lowest percentages here. Tick Override site defaults to make changes. Save Changes when done.
