Proctoring ensures secure monitoring during activities like exams or assessments, maintaining fairness and integrity. It involves overseeing participants to prevent cheating or malpractice, using device’s camera for remote monitoring.

Step Tutorial
Part A - Setup
1. Go to a course, then open the specific activity or exam you wish to monitor.

2. Go to the Settings tab, then look for the Extra restrictions on attempts section.



3. Set Webcam identity validation to 'Must be acknowledged before starting an attempt'.


4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, then click Save and return to course or Save and display. Either option will work.

Part B - Student Attempt
1. The student must open the activity. A pop-up will appear asking to allow camera use; they must allow it to proceed. Otherwise, they will be denied the ability to submit an attempt.


2. After doing so, they can now attempt the activity. They just need to follow the usual process and then submit their work.
Part C - Trainer’s View
1. Once the students have submitted their attempts, the trainer can now proceed to the activity's proctoring report. Just open the activity and click the View proctoring report button.


2. It will list the students who attempted the activity. Click on the folder icon under the Actions column next to the student’s name to view images of the student during their attempt.

NOTE: The system takes a photo approximately every 40 to 60 seconds.
